RAM Walkarounds Avro Shackleton MR2 COMING SOON

The Avro Shackleton was designed by Roy Chadwick taking its name from the polar explorer Sir Ernest Shackleton. It was developed from the company’s Lincoln, utilising its wings and undercarriage along with a new fuselage and four Rolls-Royce Griffon engines driving contra rotating propellers. Originally designed as an anti-submarine warfare aircraft; the type would also operate in the maritime reconnaissance and Airborne Early Warning (AEW) roles. A total of 185 aircraft were built between 1951 and 1958. The first aircraft entered service in 1951 and the last would finally retire in June 1991. The Shackleton Preservation Trust kindly granted RAM Models access to Shackleton WR963. Photographed in unique detail both internally and externally the product features (TBC) high quality images which will enable modellers to make their next scale project as accurate as possible.
