RAM Walkarounds Lockheed Tristar C2/KC1 COMING SOON

L-100-500 Tristars were purchased in the immediate aftermath of the Falkland’s War to bolster the long range capability of the RAF in the transport and tanker roles. The Royal Air Force purchased six second hand L-100-500 Tristar’s from British Airways along with a further three of the same variant from Pan Am. There were three versions of the Tristar in RAF service. The K1 was a dedicated tanker with a single fuselage refuelling point. The KC1 version operated in a dual transport and tanker role and lastly the C2 which was purely a transport aircraft. RAM Models was kindly granted access to Tristar C2 ZE704 by GJD Services Ltd. Photographed internally and externally and in close up detail allowing the modeller to make their next scale project as accurate as possible. Also included in this product are detailed images of the fuselage air-to-air refuelling station on Tristar KC1 ZD953.
